Context and Initial Strategy

Context and Initial Strategy

BPX emerged from an analysis of Telegram communities that utilized reward mechanics for retention and acquisition. The hypothesis was that integrating a social app into BlinkPlanet would reduce the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

Trade-off

Trade-off

To meet a short launch deadline, we focused on an app with limited visual polish and features that were not fully reviewed. The goal was to validate whether the hypothesis was real and sustainable.

App Mechanics

App Mechanics

The product was structured around accumulation and spending mechanics for points (BX$):

  • Tap-to-earn: Generation of points per click, with a daily limit.

  • Minigame Hub: Included games such as Dino Run, Shooter, and Tetris, with assets created by the UX team.

  • Tier and Ranking System: Tier system based on lifetime points and rankings based on onwned points in season.

  • Referral: Referral system where users received 10% of the points generated by their referrals.

Interface

Interface

The interface was designed to allow for simple reskinning. Using a basic Design System, it was possible to change colors, backgrounds, and icons in approximately 2 days. This was used in partnerships, where the purchase of specific assets in the marketplace unlocked a customized interface skin.

Final Observations

Final Observations

The project validated the hypothesis that the integration of a gamified system could retain and acquire new users, increasing conversion chances for the main product. The method also proved effective for notifying users about new collections and, if well-applied, can help products maintain and grow their user base, generating more conversion opportunities.
